Transformer Technologies - Containment Curbing

Zen Construction was contracted to install specialized concrete containment curbs within a transformer decommissioning facility. The project focused on creating durable, oil-resistant barriers designed to control and contain transformer fluids during equipment handling and processing operations.

Work included the installation of cast-in-place concrete curbs integrated into the existing slab system, along with precision joint detailing to accommodate long-term exposure to industrial oils and chemicals. The system was designed to provide reliable containment while maintaining a clean, functional layout within an active industrial environment.

An optional chemical-resistant coating system was incorporated to enhance durability and provide an added layer of protection at critical interfaces, ensuring long-term performance in a demanding setting.

This project highlights Zen Construction’s ability to deliver practical, detail-driven solutions for industrial facilities where performance, durability, and environmental control are critical.
